What is Mounir running for?
Community-engaged decision making
Our public schools belong to all of us, and decisions about their future should be shaped by the voices of students, families, educators, and community members. Mounir will champion transparency, build accessible feedback channels, and create a district-wide parent and teacher advisory board to inform board decisions.
Equity and opportunity for all students
A student’s race, gender identity, or zip code should never determine their access to a world class education. Mounir is committed to allocating resources where they’re most needed, ensuring students get the support they deserve to succeed amidst uncertainty and past failures by the district.

Teachers and school staff are the backbone of our education system. They’re experts, mentors, and advocates who make learning possible for our students every day. Mounir will fight to uphold strong labor protections, honor and facilitate union contracts, and ensure educators have a real seat at the table when decisions are made.
